What is the Sierra Club?
The Sierra Club is one of the oldest and most significant grassroots environmental groups in the United States. It has millions of members and strives to “defend everyone’s right to a healthy world” in a number of ways.
The Sierra Club was established in 1893 by a small group of Californians, including legendary naturalist and mountaineer John Muir, and is currently among the biggest environmental organisations in the country.
